Easter

As we celebrate one of the most sacred holidays of the Christian faith, we not only celebrate Christ’s Resurrection, but we also need to remember and realize Easter is a celebration of forgiveness and new life.  If ever there was a time that our country could use a breath of new life, it is now! I will go into that further in a minute.

Easter stands for Jesus’ Resurrection after being crucified for our sins. This is true and holy, but what was the reason He had to die for our sins? Forgiveness, so that we could have a relationship with Him. Prior to His resurrection, sins were atoned for by the sacrificing of animals, but this did not provide a means to form a relationship with God.

In the beginning, God created man for companionship. God had a relationship with Adam and Eve. Original sin cut that relationship off because God is holy and cannot be around sin. Although, before Christ, animal blood sacrifices were to cover sin, it didn’t do away and make clean the souls of the sinners. Jesus’ blood did to give a means to have a relationship with Him. Accepting what He did for us and asking Him to come in to our hearts gives us a new life to be able to commune with Him. He provided the means for this when He died on the cross and rose again.

Easter is a day of celebration of the Christian faith, but we should also remember that it is the day that linked us to a relationship with God because of His forgiveness of our sins and letting us be born again.

One of my sincerest prayers is that our country seek forgiveness and seek newness of life by stopping legalized abortion, funding for slothfulness (i.e. by extending unemployment from twenty-six weeks to ninety-nine), making it against the law to display the Ten Commandments or the Nativity in public government places, taking God out of schools, trying to tell Israel that she can’t fly over Iraq to defend herself from Iran, etc.

We are a great nation. We became founded upon great Christian values and beliefs. We are where we are today because of those values and the rewards for practicing them from the grace of God. If you don’t believe that, just look at the advances in technology–most of which has come from the United States in the last one hundred years. How easily we have turned our backs on our Godly foundation and His grace.

We need to bow our knee in forgiveness for allowing legalized abortion, rewarding the undeserving (able people who take advantage of the system without trying to become self-sufficient), wasting our tax money on programs that go nowhere instead of helping the needy, being politically correct about shutting out God from aspects of our lives, etc.  We need to simply follow the Ten Commandments mindfully when minding our jobs and assembling things like new laws.

As Christians, we have become complacent, but we need to stop that behavior now, and stand up to change things full circle to honor and obey our Father God. We need to vote out government leaders who support humanism and loathe Christianity. We need to vote in Christians that love and back our Constitution. As importantly, we need to pray. I can tell you by example that prayer changes things.

The change we are seeing in this administration is not the change we need. The change we need is to return to our Judeo-Christian values and roots so that our God can continue to harvest souls for His Kingdom for eternity. It is my strong opinion that we are still free in this country because we are the springboard for God’s Word flowing throughout our land and lands far away. It is my fear that people like those in this administration would do all they can to stop or limit our freedoms, tax us heavily, ruin our economy, and undermine our Constitution so that we are no longer free to practice our beliefs–which are the foundations of our success in this country.

This Easter is as an important one as there ever has been. Our country is in serious trouble if we don’t do something to stop those in power at this time. I haven’t begun to tell you what I have found out about this administration lately. Stay tuned.

It is our duty to humble ourselves and pray that God will help us turn things around by first asking forgiveness for allowing the immoral laws of the past to sneak in because of our complacency. The current administration is doing a lot of sneaking around, bribing, and counting on our complacency. If ever we needed forgiveness to renew our relationship with God, and His Hand to intervene for our country, we need Him now.

Socialism or Freedom?

I am no fan of the current administration or the socialism they are trying to ram down our throats.  I really don’t think most Americans thought the “change” Obama was talking about in his campaigns meant a change from a democratic republic to a socialist one.

With the healthcare reform dominating the forefront of the news, hopefully Americans that voted for Obama “get it”. He has tried to force a twenty-seven hundred page document through Congress rapidly so healthcare reform gets passed before most can read the bill! “Change” is being dictated to us and “change” is belittling us to other countries.

Obama duped Congress and most Americans by telling us the urgency of the stimulus package. He said if it didn’t pass, our economy would collapse. Well, most of the money is still unspent (so there was no real urgency), the economy seems about the same, and unemployment is worse (it was about eight percent when he took office and now is in the double figures).

What is he up to? The answer is simple–Socialism.

There are key components needed in order for a government to drastically change or convert to another form. One is the economy has to be bad. The economy is bad, but so is it bad in lots of other countries. In Roman times, the government had overspent itself to the point of no return. Then that world power collapsed. Are we there yet? Is that where Obama is leading us? Is that the reason for the extreme debt Obama has put us in to?

It is my opinion and that of many others that Obama is being primed to become the first leader of the New World Order. In order for that to take place, America has to yield to Socialism.

There are now twenty-seven countries in the European Union who are Socialists for the most part. The European Union wants to expand to include the Americas and Canada in the near future to form the New World Order.

On March 9, 2010 Drew Zahn of World Net Daily said that Kissinger agrees that Obama is a good pick for world leadership because of global bad economy and the popularity Obama enjoys overseas. “Conflicts across the globe and an international respect for Barack Obama have created the perfect setting for establishment of ‘a New World Order,’ according to Henry Kissinger”.  There are many others that agree with Kissinger.

Another component to a drastic government change and conversion is downplay or weakening of the military. Could that be the reason Obama originally wanted the 9/11 terrorists tried in New York City instead of by the military? Military secrets, policies and tactics would be revealed. Could that downplay our military? I think it could.

During the Bush administration, not one terror attack was reported on American soil after 9/11. Why? According to interviewed terrorists, they were afraid of Bush and how he would retaliate militarily. That doesn’t seem to hold true when it comes to Obama. If you watch the news, terror attacks have happened again on our soil, i.e. the underwear bomber, Ft. Hood, etc.

On April 3, 2009 Time magazine online summed it up with “Talk of American economic supremacy has been replaced by a call from Obama for more growth in developing countries. Claims of American military supremacy have been replaced with heavy emphasis on cooperation and diplomatic hard labor.”

An important component to a government conversion is to disarm the people. Has anyone noticed the difficulty in purchasing ammunition since the beginning of the Obama administration?

I love my United States of America. I love it as the republic that it is. I loathe socialism in so many ways, but one of the most important ways I detest it is that it can turn to communism very easily. The biggest difference between the two is that socialists will let you have religion–communists won’t.

My hope is that one administration won’t be able to change our government, its values, the Constitution, our rights and laws.

What can we do about it? Right now, I think one of the key things to do is pray. Pray for our president. Pray that he turn his heart over to Christ and let him have an encounter with the Lord. Prayer changes things.

Another key thing to do is to keep in touch with Congress as well as the Executive Branch to let them know your opinion about changes happening. Although the “Czar” appointments have seemingly taken some power away from Congress, we are still a Republic. We still have a system of government that has worked for the past two hundred years.  Let your voice be heard. As many have let their voices be heard through tea parties, etc. Obama has deemed it necessary to water-down his previous healthcare reform ideas.

We are a government created by the people, for the people and of the people. We can’t let one man change that.

People are so busy and preoccupied with life’s goings ons that they don’t suspect that their freedom which they have always enjoyed may be at risk. The Obama administration is counting on that. I think if more Americans realized that their right to bear arms, their right to worship freely, etc. could be changed or taken away, there would be more of an upheaval about this administration. The devaluing of the dollar and the committing of unprecedented debt is appalling, but the reasoning behind it is to convert to socialism. Are Americans really for that?

As long as this country is the spring-board for getting the gospel out to others, here and abroad, as well as being Israel’s number one ally, I don’t think God wants us to change the government founded on His Judeo-Christian values. He will allow things to happen to people in order for them to fall to their knees and yield to Him, however.

I think this administration could be a wake up call to Christians of the United States of America to get on their knees and pray that their beloved country stay free.
